Maysoon Khatib is a writer, activist, and adjunct professor at Murray State University. She strives to debunk the stereotype of the Muslim woman. Khatib was raised Muslim, but speaks about how she spent many years trying just to fit in. “I’m an eternal optimist,” said Khatib. “For someone in my position, as a woman, I firmly believe in that motto ‘hear me roar’.” Join Khatib as she helps WKCTC celebrate Women’s National History Month.
