Eighteen-year-old Jackie Means grew up in a “bad” part of Wilmington, Delaware, and had to find fun things to do without leaving her home. That is how she discovered her love of science. Jackie, or the STEM Queen, founded the Wilmington Urban STEM Initiative, which educates young girls in science, technology, engineering, and math. She also holds Girls Empowerment STEM events to introduce young women to hands-on science experiments. Kelly speaks with Jackie to hear her mission and also gets a cool demonstration on how to make edible slime.
